Assign and Manage POS Nicknames

Selected reports include a link you can use to assign nicknames to POS systems at your restaurant. These nicknames appear in the POS System drop-down list that also appears on those reports. [Show image.][Hide image.]

You can edit the entries for POS system nicknames and can choose to hide the names of POS systems that your restaurant is not using. This makes it easier to use the list of POS system nicknames because you see only the names of active POS systems. Once a hidden system starts to receive sales, LiveIQ automatically displays the name of that POS system.

Assign POS Nicknames

1. With the report screen displayed, click Manage POS Nicknames.

2. To search for a particular system, type its name in the Search field.

3. Click in the row for the POS terminal that you want to assign a nickname.

4. Enter the name in the POS Nickname field.

5. Click to save the nickname.

Manage POS Nicknames

1. With the report screen displayed, click Manage POS Nicknames.

2. To search for a particular system, type its name in the Search field.

3. To edit the entry, click in the row for the appropriate POS terminal and make your changes.

4. To hide or unhide a POS system, select or clear the Hide check box for the POS terminal.

5. Click to save the nickname.
